The local Larder providing another Monday full of Good good coffee
It’s all an illusion.
One of the most profound lessons you can learn in life is how you show up. Showing up is about putting in your work and your effort to fight for your passion.
Yes there will be haters and yes you will have bad days. But getting to your goals is about changing your mindset and your perception.
Make sure you have your version of reality in check and stick to that!

Acacia siculiformis - Dagger Wattle (Mimosaceae)
Mimosaceae? Fabaceae? I can never remember if Mimosaceae was absorbed into Fabaceae or not.... Someone will tell me I am sure! Anyway, that doesn't really matter in the general scheme of learning about this particular species. Listed as rare in Tasmania, this one can also be found on the mainland. I found this one at the Botanical gardens, but if you want to see it in the wild then you will need to go on a hunt somewhere around the midlands across to the east coast. There has been about 30 subpopulations recorded, although not all verified, and an estimated 5,000 plants or less left. .
It is very similar and can be potentially be confused with A. axillaris, A. riceae and A. genistifolia. All species that have the short, pointy, ouchy little phyllodes. For those who don't know the different planty things, phyllodes are actually flattened leaf stalks, but look like leaves, and work like leaves, so are kinda leaves, but not...
Preferred habitat is dry and rocky sclerophyll forest, near watercourses. It is at risk because of it's small sub population sizes, so local extinction is possible. And if there are too many local extinctions, then it makes the big extinctions more likely... .

This creative campaign by Aussie furniture company @koala
is definitely on our current favourites list! Apart from being hilariously clever, their dynamic use of different platforms and industry-defying messaging powerfully showcase how breaking away from the pack can really pay off. (📸: B&T)
