This is just a very generic, run of the mill R&B album that doesn't do anything particularly interesting or exciting. Ella Mai clearly has a decent voice, and her delivery here isn't really a problem, but the actual material is ultimately extremely boring. There's really nothing of note here, it's basic R&B production with the occasional trap influences thrown in, with nothing innovative chucked in to make it worthwhile. There's the odd infectious chorus where Mai demonstrates good flow, and those moments are indicative of what she could be, but yeah, let down by the songwriting and production for pretty much most of the 55 minute runtime.
