Let’s talk food. Like I’ve shared before, we are 80/20 vegans. That means at home we live a vegan lifestyle, and when we go out or eat with friends, we make exceptions. The girls and I will add in dairy, seafood and eggs on occasion and when it’s local, and Nathan will even splurge on a hamburger or steak. But at home, it’s our healthy vegan Mecca. And boy does Nathan keep us happy in that arena!
I have so loved to see his art develop with cooking; not simply making a meal, but experimenting with new things, like smoked jackfruit, kombucha (that is so fizzy and so amazing we call it liquid gold), roasted nuts, and now, vegan sourdough bread that is incredible (especially covered in butter flavored coconut oil and honey)! Props to my husband who works his butt off to not only keep us fed, but to take us on food journeys to experience new tastes and appreciate meals in a whole new way. #80
