Ongoing contest (wait for this video to be uploaded in my profile Facebook “Raffy Falcis” to join for prizes 🎁🎁🎁 Title: Reduce Injuries & Improve Time Performance Through Running Form Correction.
Physical therapists are able to help runners 1.) Decrease the impact on knees, feet, & other parts of your body during running. 2.) Explain & differentiate the different muscles/injuries involved in running through their broad knowledge in anatomy, kinesiology & etc.
In this video where I’m running I used add on visual feedbacks by drawing lines, measuring the angle of movements on a joint, & analyzing each movement made.
In lifting heavy weights we are strict in maintaining or performing a generally “correct form”; if you’re performing a wrong form your fitness trainer would definitely correct your movements & positions but in endurance sports like running we neglect checking & correcting our form...which if left NOT corrected you’ll keep on repeating the wrong movements again & again on every stride in running or every stroke in swimming which will turn to a discomfort/pain that would eventually lead to an injury.
There is no a one size fits all approach in running (choosing a running shoe & form); each one is individualized per individual as we are all different.
There’s no such thing as a perfect (ideal) running form but what we can do is lessen the impact or transfer the location of impact of your landing strides to another part of your body.
