Payton got a 1st grade work book for Christmas and is super excited! She's been asking anyone who will listen to help her with it. She is so excited to learn new things! And I love that she has the freedom to learn whatever is sparking her interest at any given time. Right now she is working on telling time with Daddy. Last night her older cousin was explaining fractions to her. And the best part? She's remembering what she's learning because she's actively interested and engaged. This is why we home school and #LearnFreely
with Wilmington Cooperative School. 💗

Her favorite shirt is done with. She’s outgrown it. She wore it so much that the crystals fell off and I fixed it by embroidering rainbow petals and so she loved it more. It was rewashed for the last time and she wanted a pic. Although the other photos weren’t blurry and showed more detail of the beloved top, I loved her smile in this one the most. 💕 #lilybelleelena #favoritethings #1stgrader

’s son’s first school project. He’s a first grader and this is a unicorn spider’s habitat diorama. He did it all by himself! We see an architect/interior designer gig in his future. 🥰 #prodigy #1stgrader
All the feelings when you see growth within your child! 💗
As a mother you want your child to bloom and learn from experiences.
Confidence and self esteem have not come easy for this boy. Scott and I had to convince him to compete in his first karate tournament.
The question is? How does one grow or improve when you stay in your comfort zone?
The answer? You don’t!
I knew that with practice, consistency, and (Nolan’s term) 😄perseverance, it would give him the confidence to prove to himself he is capable and can accomplish whatever he sets his mind to!
His greatest competition was himself and he was so proud of what he accomplished!
To watch the story and journey unfold is just as rewarding to mom as it is to the child!
Encourage your child to step outside their comfort zone. Breath belief into them and help them with a plan to reach their goal!
They will thank you!
