T-1 DAY!! 🥳 - Come Monday I start a cut in order to start shedding some body fat and reveal the muscle I’ve been working hard on building since October. I am currently sitting at 141 pounds, I gained a little over 13 pounds in these 5 months and I’m definitely feeling it 😅 (All of the belt loops on my pants are hanging on by a thread from constantly pulling them up over my bum 🙃). As I reach the end of this bulk though I know that I have grown a lot and learned even more so I thought I’d share some of my reflections. 1️⃣ What I used to think was a lot of calories for someone my size is not NEARLY enough. 2️⃣ Eating an excess of calories isn’t quite as fun as I thought it would be. 😂 It is HARD to hit nearly 3,000 in a day by eating nothing but clean foods. In the first few months I actually began hating it as I was always having to force myself to eat. I ended up transitioning to some more calorie dense foods and stopped tracking so diligently (something I will be working on in my next bulk). 3️⃣ HOWEVER.. the intermittent increase in calories was 100% reflected in the gym. Each day I had more energy and lifted heavier than I ever thought possible for me. Food=fuel. - It’s been incredibly fun pushing myself hard in the gym, hitting PRs and surprising myself everyday. I’m honestly pretty sad that I won’t be seeing any strength gains these next few months but I learned a lot and I’m excited about my continued growth. Let’s see what I’ll be able to bring to the table!

I started my fitness journey about almost a year ago now and decided to change my lifestyle for good. I wanted to do better, be better, and just start working on a better version of myself. Objective number 1 was to loose 10KG and I wanted to do it at a steady pace. The most important was first to live an healthier lifestyle, not only exercise more regularly and intensively, but also learn how to eat better. Because a healthy nutrition was and still is what is majorly helping me reach my objectives. Weight loss just follows naturally so don't focus too much on that if you are just starting. Educate yourself to find the best workouts according to your objectives and commit to it, and educate yourself on nutrition, which is a major tool believe me. . Never be satisfied and always seek for progress. If at some point you are getting too confortable, it does not mean its easier, it means you got better. Now when you get better, it's the time where you need to push yourself further. Run faster, longer, lift heavier and upgrade your workouts to more advanced levels. Never settle, keep moving up. . That being said, I'm moving on to objective 2. There is still a long way to go before getting where I want to be, but I'm getting closer to it everyday because I know I work my ass off for it. And like everything in life, when you put in the real efforts, it pays off. ‘I just don’t have the time’ I hear this all the time when I talk about this business. I get it, you’re a mom of multiple kiddos, you have a job and other commitments. But what would a few extra dollars mean to you ? What would it mean to you if you could help change someone’s life for the better ? What would it mean to you that if you were consistent over time it would GIVE you more time ? I am a mom of two boys under the age of three and my days are busy just chasing my two year old. I find pockets of time when William is quietly playing, during nap time (if I’m not napping as well 💤), and after they have gone to bed. A few minutes here and there has brought back a sense of purpose to my life and has helped me contribute extra for my family. That’s something to be proud of 😉 #mompreneur

#NUTRITIONTIPS ~ Before I started my competition prep I had been bulking for about a year and a half and eating a very flexible diet. I came to a realization that I wasn’t eating enough vegetables or healthy fats and really had no desire to. I’m naturally a picky eater and I can easily use that as my excuse but it won’t help me get healthier. ~ ~ Now that I’m in prep mode I’m very self disciplined with my diet and I won’t stray away from it. So now I’ve been eating more vegetables, healthy fats, and lean proteins. And let me tell you, I can tell a huge difference in my energy levels. I am honestly feel so much more focused and energized. ~ ~ If you’re looking to have more energy throughout your day, I highly recommend eating more vegetables. ~ ~ Other things that can help. . 💦 Drinking more water. 🥑 Eating healthy fats - such as avocado, nuts, olive oil 🥩 Lean Protein - chicken, lean ground meat, fish 🥬 Dark leafy greens - spinach, kale 🍨 Whole Grains - brown rice, quinoa, oatmeal ~ ~ What’s one thing you can change about your eating habits?
